Information We Collect
We collect the information you give us directly — your email, name, and the financial inputs you enter (income, savings, bills, debts, planned purchases). We also collect basic technical information automatically, like device type and approximate location, to keep the service running and secure.
How We Use Information
We use your information to operate Affordly, generate your affordability analyses and forecasts, manage your account and subscription, send important service updates, and improve the product. We do not sell your data.
AI Analysis Data
Your financial inputs are sent to AI models to generate explanations, suggestions, and forecasts. We send only what's needed for the analysis and do not allow third-party AI providers to train their models on your personal data.
Account Information
We store your account profile (email, hashed password, preferences, subscription tier) so you can sign in and use Affordly across sessions. You can review and update most of this information from your account page.
Payment Information
Payments are processed securely by trusted third-party providers (such as Stripe). Affordly does not store your full payment card details. We only keep a reference to your subscription and minimal billing metadata (such as last four digits and expiry) needed to manage renewals.
Cookies & Analytics
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how features are used in aggregate — never to identify individual users.
Data Security
Data is transmitted over TLS and stored encrypted at rest. Database-level Row-Level Security ensures your records are scoped to your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow industry best practices to protect your data.

We rely on a small set of vendors — for hosting, authentication, payments, email, and AI. These providers only receive the data needed to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy obligations.

Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your Account Details page. When you do, we permanently remove your profile, saved analyses, and login from our systems. There is no recovery window — gone is gone.
Children's Privacy
Affordly is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us and we'll remove the account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Affordly evolves. When changes are material, we'll notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
