Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide directly — your email, name, and the financial inputs you enter (income, expenses, savings, debts, planned purchases, business expenses, vendor quotes, hiring plans, roadmap entries, and account information). We also collect basic technical information automatically, like device type and approximate location, to keep the service running and secure.

Affordly stores the financial inputs you enter — income, savings, bills, debts, planned purchases, roadmap events, and projection assumptions — so you can return to your plans. These inputs stay scoped to your account and are never sold to advertisers or shared with data brokers.
Not Financial Advice
Affordly is a planning and decision-support tool. It does not provide financial advice, execute trades, manage investments, or recommend specific products or securities. For advice about your personal situation, please consult a qualified professional.
Investment Projections Are Hypothetical
Smart Projection and any investment-related forecasts in Affordly are hypothetical. Estimated rates of return, inflation, fees, and tax drag are simplified assumptions — not guarantees, and not a real-time measurement of any market. Actual returns may be higher or lower, including losses. You can manually override any assumption at any time; the projection updates with your own numbers.
Roadmap & Planning Data
Roadmap and Timeline events you create are saved to your account (when signed in) or to your device (as a guest) so the app can re-render your plans. You can edit or remove individual events, or clear all roadmap data, at any time. We do not use roadmap content for advertising.
How We Use Information
We use your information to operate Affordly and to generate affordability analysis, savings projections, roadmap forecasts, business runway estimates, AI-powered summaries, manage your account and subscription, send important service updates, and improve the product. We do not sell your financial data.
AI Analysis Data
Your financial inputs are sent to AI models to generate explanations, suggestions, and forecasts. We send only what's needed for the analysis and do not allow third-party AI providers to train their models on your personal data. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate and should be reviewed by you before acting on them. Affordly is not a substitute for professional financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice.
Account Information
We store your account profile (email, hashed password, preferences, subscription tier) so you can sign in and use Affordly across sessions. You can review and update most of this information from your account page.
Payment Information
Payments are processed securely by Stripe or the connected payment provider. Affordly does not store full credit card numbers. We only keep a reference to your subscription and minimal billing metadata (such as last four digits and expiry) needed to manage renewals.
Cookies & Analytics
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how features are used in aggregate — never to identify individual users.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including TLS in transit, encryption at rest, and database-level Row-Level Security to scope records to your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow industry best practices.

We rely on a small set of third-party providers for services such as hosting, analytics, authentication, payment processing, email, and AI functionality. These providers only receive the data needed to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy obligations.

Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your Account Details page. When you do, we permanently remove your profile, saved analyses, and login from our systems. There is no recovery window — gone is gone.

Affordly is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us and we'll remove the account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Affordly evolves. When changes are material, we'll notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
